Yellow Hair and Blue Eyes - An Orphan's Wish by Gracia L Mason Based on a true story, Soo-jin, an orphaned child in South Korea, experiences starvation, hardship, physical and mental abuse at the hands of two vindictive women, Yi Shoo and Yoon Chen. Lies and deceit surround the orphaned child and follow her from the Kwang-ju Orphanage to the Seoul Orphanage. In Kwang-ju, Soo-jin befriends Uni Choi, the daughter of Han Choi, the owner of the orphanage. Uni Choi helps her escape from the two evil women only to be betrayed by Shin Choi, Uni Choi's powerful brother. With Uni Choi's help Soo-jin moves to the Seoul Orphanage hoping to get away from her misery but discovers the two evil women have followed her. Desperate for love and acceptance, Soo-jin make friends with two orphaned children, Mi-young and Mi-Mi. Through their friendship and the many miracles that come to Soo-jin, she is able to overcome the abuse the two women inflict on her. Just when she is forced to give up hope, her dream of being loved and belonging to an American family comes true.
